The Atash block is located in the central part of the Kazakh Sector of the Caspian Sea. To the south and west the area borders on the Severnyi contract acreage in the Russian Federation, where the Khvalynskoye and Yu. Korchagin fields were discovered. An exploration well has been drilled in the block, and studies of the prospectivity of the Atash offshore area continues.
